Scenes from National Grades K-12 Championship in Orlando

The Disney Coronado Convention Center was the site for 1,818 scholastic player to make their mark as a national champion. Floridians can be proud of many strong individual performances and near K-5 grade sweep by Gainesville's Oak Hall. Several board members served in some capacity with our own Jon Haskell being the Chief Tournament Director.

Florida Chess Association has a mission to support chess within the state at the individual and affiliate level. We host both the State Championship and Scholastic Regional and State Championships. We also help schools promote chess by assisting with chess equipment and financial support for worthy endeavors that further chess.
