Florida Chess Association

Supporting Florida Chess since 1939

About

The Florida Chess Association is the official Florida state affiliate of the United States Chess Federation (USCF), the ruling chess body in the United States. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to promote the game of chess in Florida. We believe that playing chess has many benefits in developing young growing minds and maintaining mental sharpness throughout adulthood. We promote chess for all ages.

In meeting the needs of our diverse chess community, the principal activities of FCA include active sponsorship of scholastic chess; publication of Florida Chess magazine; sanctioning, scheduling and oversight of official state championship events; and working to help maximize the involvement, coordination and success of the many individuals and organizations involved in chess throughout Florida.

The FCA is an officially designated IRS 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization. Your personal or corporate charitable contribution is greatly appreciated and tax-deductible.
